Pariso Family Ridgelyne Home - Rosy Hills
Out of principle, the Pariso Family was never going to pay a half a million dollars for a fixer-upper. Never. So, they decided to start a company called Ridgelyne to build their own barndominium quality-built home, and also do the same for others in Western North Carolina. As of April 2025, the land is being cleared of underbrush, downed trees, and getting prepared for grading.
Project: Hilltop Estate
Three acres atop the Rosy Hill ridge line of Asheville, this project aims to prove that home building in the Asheville area, especially after Hurricane Helene, can still be something that is attainable for a reasonable cost.
Design: High Ceiling, Open Space Barndominium
Partnering with Barndominium company XYZ, the Pariso Family selected a space for their small family that would allow them to enjoy a minimalist, no technology, ambient lit home .
Interior: Biblically Natural Interior
The interior design will focus on taking scenes from the series The Chosen and melding it with the natural Barndominium metal theme they chose for the exterior.
Landscape: Gradual Slope & Archery Haven
The second acre of land is being landscaped to be an archery range.
Lighting: No LED; Warm Lit Bliss
Plans are to use gas lamps, warm fixtures resembling candles, and fire treatments in both the interior and exterior, as well as bistro lights on the exterior, to pull together a ridge line masterpiece.
Paint: NO VOC
Where paint is used, it will assuredly be No VOC.
As a client of Ridgelyne, I was able to realize the American Dream by taking an alternative approach to the home building process that put me first and not being taken advantage of by the overpriced contracting community that inflation in America has created.
